Album Notes & Community Reviews

The third installment of the Gang Starr MC's ambitious fusion project shifts its focus slightly away from pure jazz instrumentation toward contemporary R&B and neo-soul. 'Jazzmatazz: Streetsoul' enlists a massive roster of high-profile vocalists, including Erykah Badu and Kelis, weaving them into Guru's signature smooth, conscious boom-bap frameworks. It represents a highly polished, commercially viable intersection of underground rap and mainstream urban music.
