Album Notes & Community Reviews
The revered Texas songwriter delivered a masterful, stripped-down collection of progressive country and Western storytelling. Supported by subtle acoustic instrumentation, the album highlights his profound, poetic lyricism and weary, authentic vocal delivery. The record features contributions from a host of legendary peers, cementing his status as a songwriter's songwriter within the Americana tradition.
