Album Notes & Community Reviews

A foundational release that practically defined the entire New Jack Swing movement under the visionary production of Teddy Riley. The trio seamlessly melded syncopated hip-hop drum programming with smooth, sensual contemporary R&B vocal deliveries. Its massive success radically altered the trajectory of urban music, dictating the rhythmic feel of mainstream pop for the next half-decade.
