Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Pipettes vocalist delivers an incredibly ambitious, highly conceptual solo debut sung almost entirely in Welsh and Cornish. Inspired by a dystopian Welsh science fiction novel, 'Y dydd olaf' pairs deeply political, feminist lyricism with remarkably lush, krautrock-inspired synthesizer production. The album is a profoundly atmospheric, brilliantly psychedelic, and intensely hypnotic electronic pop masterpiece.
