Album Notes & Community Reviews

Despite their British origins, Hackensack cultivated a gritty, blues-heavy sound highly reminiscent of American Southern rock and heavy boogie. Their sole studio album is a relentless, guitar-driven assault characterized by gritty vocals and heavy riffing. Though commercially unsuccessful at the time, 'Up the Hardway' has since earned a fervent cult following among hard rock aficionados.
