Following the dissolution of the legendary Japanese new wave group Plastics, the guitarist embarked on this fiercely idiosyncratic instrumental solo debut. 'H' utilizes unconventional rhythms, atonal guitar picking, and sparse, avant-garde arrangements that heavily evoke the angular complexities of the European Rock in Opposition movement. Released on the prestigious Yen Records, it established Tachibana as a formidable, left-field composer.
