Album Notes & Community Reviews

Haken's 'The Mountain' is a modern progressive metal classic that pays tribute to 70s giants like Gentle Giant and Yes while maintaining a heavy, contemporary edge. The album features complex vocal harmonies, odd time signatures, and genre-hopping excursions into jazz and funk. It is a theatrical and technically dazzling concept album about the struggle for achievement.
