Album Notes & Community Reviews
The acclaimed pianist and composer pushes aggressively into high-energy electric fusion on this brilliant, slightly overlooked 1973 release. Supported by an elite ensemble featuring Michael and Randy Brecker alongside John Scofield, the session expertly balances intense, post-bop harmonic complexity with driving, deeply syncopated funk grooves. It remains a deeply respected milestone in the early evolution of sophisticated American jazz-rock.
