Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second album from Steven R. Smith's solo moniker delves further into his unique interpretation of Eastern European folk melodies. Utilizing hurdy-gurdy, harmonium, and acoustic guitar, 'These Villages' is a heavily droning, highly hypnotic piece of psychedelic folk that meticulously recontextualizes traditional Balkan modes.
