Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the disbandment of The Walkmen, the acclaimed frontman delivers his official solo debut, entirely embracing his distinctively strained, crooner-esque vocal delivery. 'Black Hours' features incredibly lush, deeply romantic instrumentation ranging from swooning orchestral strings to bouncy, incredibly infectious indie-pop rhythms. It is a wonderfully melodic, highly sophisticated, and brilliantly executed tribute to classic American pop music.
