Zimmer built the score around a slowed-down extraction of 脡dith Piaf's 'Non, je ne regrette rien', the song used inside the film to jolt dreamers awake. Guitarist Johnny Marr of the Smiths plays across the score, and the closing track 'Time' grew into Zimmer's most performed concert piece.
