Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Martin Hannett, 'Bummed' captures the chaotic genesis of the Madchester scene, welding loose, jangly indie rock guitars to ecstasy-fueled dance rhythms. Shaun Ryder's surreal, drug-addled lyricism perfectly complements the dense, hedonistic groove, pioneering the crucial crossover between alternative rock and club culture.
