Album Notes & Community Reviews

Comprised of former members of Quatermass and Atomic Rooster, this British power trio was signed to Deep Purple's newly minted vanity label to deliver aggressive, unrelenting hard rock. The debut is characterized by John Du Cann's blistering guitar work and a distinctly heavy, proto-metal edge that eschewed the more ornate progressive trends of the era. It stands as a punishing, high-octane classic of early 70s British underground metal.
