Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Steppin' Out!' is Harold Vick's Blue Note leader date, presenting the tenor saxophonist in a hard bop and soul-jazz context. The album's groove-based writing and vigorous soloing reflect the label's early-1960s balance between accessible rhythm and modern jazz improvisation.
