Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking their debut for Charisma Records, the pioneering space rock group leaned into a notably more polished and humorous direction. The album's concept playfully mimics a vintage sci-fi pulp magazine, complete with satirical advertisements and diverse stylistic detours. The introduction of keyboardist Simon House and vocalist Robert Calvert formally guided the band away from relentless jamming toward eccentric, progressive songwriting.
