Album Notes & Community Reviews

Accompanied only by percussion, the virtuosic pianist delivers a high-energy showcase of her ability to inject swing into diverse musical structures. Her classically trained precision elevates boogie-woogie and stride formats into dazzling, highly polished concert pieces. The release further established her as a formidable instrumentalist in the early 1940s jazz landscape.
