Album Notes & Community Reviews
The phenomenal sophomore solo album from 'El Cantante' further solidifies his status as the undisputed voice of the 1970s New York salsa explosion. Produced by his longtime collaborator Willie Col贸n, the record seamlessly blends fiercely rhythmic, horn-driven salsa dura with incredibly lush, romantic boleros. Lavoe's highly poetic, often tragic vocal delivery perfectly captured the intense, urban reality of the Nuyorican experience.
