Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Nehru Jackets' serves as an essential, foundational mixtape for Heems during his prolific Das Racist tenure[cite: 7]. The 2012 release heavily showcases his uniquely laid-back, stream-of-consciousness flow over vibrant alternative hip-hop production, directly exploring complex themes of South Asian-American identity and the realities of New York City life[cite: 7].
