Album Notes & Community Reviews

Revisiting the repertoire that established her as a premier swing-era vocalist, the singer pairs her pristine articulation with updated, lush studio orchestration. The delivery eschews heavy improvisation in favor of direct, emotionally resonant melodic storytelling. The project successfully capitalizes on post-war nostalgia while utilizing the superior sonic fidelity of the emerging hi-fi consumer market.
