'X-Rated Fairy Tales' assaults the listener with heavily flanged guitar noise, warped tape manipulation, and distorted vocals mumbling paranoid sci-fi poetry. The suffocating, deeply psychedelic record heavily predicted the grimy, industrial-tinged noise rock that would dominate the underground in the following decade.
