Album Notes & Community Reviews

Noticeably darker and much heavier than their signature, upbeat brand of European power metal, this record marked a controversial period of internal tension for the band. 'The Dark Ride' features Andi Deris employing a grittier vocal style over lower-tuned guitars, resulting in a dense, aggressive atmosphere that ultimately led to significant lineup changes.
