Album Notes & Community Reviews

Kaiser and Lindley recorded across Madagascar for two weeks in 1991, playing alongside D'Gary, Rossy and members of Tarika Sammy rather than merely documenting them. The resulting album became one of the most successful American world music releases of its era, and its second volume was nominated for a Grammy Award.
