Album Notes & Community Reviews

Mancini composed the title song with lyricist Johnny Mercer in under an hour, scoring the moment Audrey Hepburn's character returns to her emptied Paris flat. The title song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and the score's smooth orchestral writing, playful suspense and lounge inflected melodies make it a definitive catalog entry in 1960s spy music.
