Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Scale' demonstrates Matthew Herbert's mastery of integrating elaborate orchestral arrangements with precise microhouse frameworks. Utilizing unconventional acoustic samples鈥攊ncluding gas pumps and human bodily functions鈥攖he production is masked beneath lush, accessible pop structures sung by frequent collaborator Dani Siciliano. It represents a sophisticated high-water mark for conceptual dance music.
