Album Notes & Community Reviews
The legendary Brazilian multi-instrumentalist honors his late wife with a brilliantly complex, deeply affectionate collection of unreleased compositions crafted during his period of grief. Melding the dizzying rhythmic shifts of avant-garde jazz with deeply rooted Choro and Baião traditions, the instrumental performances remain surprisingly playful, quirky, and fiercely energetic. It is a profoundly mellow, technically astonishing tribute to eternal love.
