Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Hatsukoi 初恋' is the seventh Japanese-language studio album by acclaimed singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada. Translating to 'First Love,' the record explores themes of longing, sadness, and peace through complex, dense contemporary R&B and adult contemporary arrangements. Its ethereal, rhythmic chamber pop production beautifully complements Utada's deeply personal and serious lyricism.
