Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Tears on Tape' serves as the eighth studio album from the Finnish love metal pioneers, marking their return after a brief hiatus caused by frontman Ville Valo's health issues. The record blends their signature gothic melancholy with driving alternative rock and subtle glam rock aesthetics, leaning into a slightly heavier, guitar-driven sound compared to its immediate predecessor. The production captures a raw, analog warmth that pays homage to classic rock sensibilities while maintaining their deeply poetic, romantic core.
