Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written during a period of intense personal conflict between family life and the demands of being a touring musician, 'Heart Like a Levee' is a deeply soulful and introspective work from M.C. Taylor. The album continues to refine his signature blend of country-folk, gospel, and Southern rock, creating a warm, lived-in sound. It's a heartfelt meditation on responsibility, faith, and doubt, widely praised for its lyrical depth and rich, organic instrumentation.
