Album Notes & Community Reviews
Trading some of the glossy, sample-based DJ approaches of their debut for an intricate, entirely hardware-driven synth-pop sound, 'Dynamics' is a meticulous love letter to vintage 1980s analog electronic music. The Brooklyn-based DFA Records duo leans into a slightly darker, more introspective mood, utilizing live instrumentation to recreate the organic warmth of classic nu-disco. The album's sophisticated production proved their mastery of retro-futuristic club music.
