Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring his working rhythm section of bassist George Tucker and drummer Al Harewood, 'Us Three' places Horace Parlan's distinctively chordal piano technique in the spotlight. Parlan's ability to drive a heavy, blues-inflected swing鈥攑artially developed to overcome a partial paralysis of his right hand鈥攇ives the trio a singularly robust and soulful identity.
