Album Notes & Community Reviews

Translating directly to "Insects Can Be Loved," this debut by the Finnish ensemble Höyry-kone delivers a highly eccentric and challenging fusion of progressive rock, chamber music, and theatrical avant-garde. The record is widely noted for its manic pacing, abrupt time-signature changes, and whimsical yet technically demanding instrumentation. It quickly secured a devoted cult status among fans of Rock in Opposition (RIO) and complex European progressive movements.
