Album Notes & Community Reviews

Accelerating their departure from strict hardcore punk, H眉sker D眉 drowned pristine, 1960s-style pop melodies beneath a relentless squall of distorted guitar noise. The intensely competitive songwriting between Bob Mould and Grant Hart yields an anxious, blisteringly fast, and deeply passionate record. 'New Day Rising' is a wildly energetic, essential bridge connecting American hardcore to alternative rock.
