'Claws' is the second installment of Morgan Fisher's brilliant conceptual project, in which the former Mott the Hoople keyboardist masquerades as various fictitious, deeply eccentric underground bands. This particular volume aggressively deconstructs traditional Christmas carols using harsh post-punk, zolo, and avant-garde rock arrangements. It stands as a hilariously abrasive holiday novelty record within the D.I.Y. cassette culture era.
