Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second solo effort from Sneaker Pimps founder Chris Corner fully embraces theatrical, darkly sexualized synthpop. 'The Alternative' utilizes driving, club-oriented electronic beats juxtaposed against Corner's dramatic, emotive falsetto. It became a foundational text for the modern European darkwave and alternative dance scenes.
