Scarabus

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Releasing their second album within a single calendar year, the Ian Gillan Band pivots back toward a heavier, more straightforward hard rock approach on 'Scarabus'. While retaining traces of the complex jazz-fusion that defined their previous effort, the tracks are noticeably more concise and guitar-driven. The stylistic compromise ultimately failed to secure commercial stability, leading to the dissolution of this specific lineup.
