Album Notes & Community Reviews
Arriving after a tumultuous three-year hiatus, the Florida heavy metal act returned with an incredibly dark, heavily thrash-infused masterwork. The record introduces the remarkably powerful, dramatic vocal delivery of Matthew Barlow, who perfectly executes Jon Schaffer's aggressive, deeply pessimistic lyrical vision. The album famously concludes with 'Dante's Inferno', a sprawling, sixteen-minute progressive metal epic that became a legendary staple of their catalog.
