Album Notes & Community Reviews

This ferocious interpretation led by conductor Riccardo Muti captures the absolute raw, violent essence of Stravinsky's revolutionary ballet. The Philadelphia Orchestra delivers staggering dynamic range, executing the complex, polyrhythmic passages with terrifying precision and massive brass power. It is widely considered one of the most sonically overwhelming and definitive modern recordings of the 20th-century masterpiece.
