Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Alphaville' is a work of avant-garde metal that fuses blackened death metal with noir-jazz sensibilities, using dissonant arrangements and complex rhythms to construct a dystopian vision of New York City. The compositions balance technical brutality with atmospheric passages featuring piano and horns, reflecting themes of urban luxury and corruption. Aided by a cleaner production that highlights the trio's intricate performances, the album articulates an ambitious, cinematic scope rooted in the city's Art Deco aesthetic and architectural grandeur.
