Goldstar

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their sixth full-length album, 'Goldstar', Imperial Triumphant refines their signature avant-garde metal into a more accessible, yet still complex, package that blends dissonant black/death metal with free-jazz exploration and themes of urban opulence and decay. The album's punchier, riff-focused songwriting is bolstered by guest appearances from Tomas Haake and Dave Lombardo, with production handled by Colin Marston and Arthur Rizk. Historically significant, 'Goldstar' marks the final album recorded at Marston's influential Menegroth Studios before its closure.
