Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Spirit of Ecstasy' presents a deliberately dense fusion of blackened death metal, free-jazz improvisation, and avant-garde composition, reflecting themes of urban opulence and decay. A move toward a more defined and clearer production, overseen by Colin Marston, gives each instrument space to navigate the album's chaotic and technical arrangements. The work's experimental scope is broadened by a wide array of guest musicians, including saxophonist Kenny G and Voivod's Denis B茅langer, cementing its uncompromising and genre-defying character.
