Album Notes & Community Reviews
Heavily indebted to the swampy, chaotic energy of The Birthday Party, the Manchester-based group delivers a dark and abrasive debut. 'Rumble' fuses angular post-punk basslines with jagged, noisy blues-rock guitar work and theatrical, gothic vocal performances. The album firmly established their presence in the mid-eighties UK independent underground.
