Light Grenades

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Characterized by a deliberately eclectic and varied sonic palette, 'Light Grenades' expands on the band's alternative rock and funk metal roots with tracks ranging from aggressive, hard-driving rock to softer, more atmospheric pieces. The album's title reflects a central theme of deploying ideas as a positive and constructive force for change, metaphorically redefining weaponry. Commercially, the record became Incubus's first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, marking a significant career milestone, although its Gold certification did not match the multi-platinum success of several earlier releases.
