Distancing themselves from heavy nu-metal aggression, 'Make Yourself' finds Incubus embracing a highly melodic, warm, and radio-friendly alternative rock sound. The album is incredibly energetic yet introspective, balancing turntablism with soaring, bittersweet vocal hooks.
