Album Notes & Community Reviews

The first installment in a long-mythologized, three-part project fifteen years in the making, ionnalee's 'MOUTH OF A RIVER, pt. 1' traces its origins to 2011. Written and self-produced with minimal equipment during a period of personal and professional isolation, the album's thematic core centers on creative reinvention, envisioning a state of being both unreachable and untouchable. This body of work serves as a conceptual prequel to later albums, notably informing the world of 2014's 'BLUE'.
