Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in New Orleans with producer Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas delivers a powerful sequence of rhythm and blues ballads and upbeat soul tracks. Her emotive vocal delivery is framed by punchy horn sections and gospel-influenced backing choirs, particularly on the original recording of 'Time Is on My Side'.
