Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by an epic, fifteen-minute title track, this lavishly produced suite further refines the deeply sensual, symphonic soul sound that made Hayes a global superstar. The arrangements are incredibly dense, layering sweeping strings, funk-driven rhythm guitars, and Hayes' iconic, subterranean baritone monologues. The recording serves as a quintessential artifact of the 1970s quiet storm aesthetic, prioritizing deep, cinematic grooves over standard pop brevity.
