Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out entirely on her own after departing Belle & Sebastian, Campbell crafts a lush, profoundly cinematic homage to vintage 1960s pop and French chanson. The arrangements are heavily orchestrated with strings, brass, and gentle bossa nova rhythms, perfectly framing her whisper-thin, pastoral vocal delivery. The record solidified her identity as an elegant, formidable songwriter outside of her former ensemble.
