Album Notes & Community Reviews

This collaborative effort pairs the delicate, ethereal vocals of the former Belle and Sebastian cellist with the gruff, whiskey-soaked baritone of the Screaming Trees frontman. The resulting tracks evoke cinematic, Lee Hazlewood-style Americana and brooding alt-country murder ballads. It earned a Mercury Prize nomination and launched a highly successful multi-album partnership.
