The second collaborative album between the former Belle and Sebastian cellist and the Screaming Trees frontman continues their acclaimed exploration of 'beauty and the beast' Americana. Campbell's delicate, whispery soprano perfectly counterbalances Lanegan's whiskey-soaked baritone over dusty, cinematic folk arrangements that heavily evoke the spirit of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra. It is a masterfully moody, nocturnal record.
