Hive Mind

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Daniel Martin-McCormick's debut full-length under the Ital moniker is a chaotic, highly unpredictable interpretation of modern club music. Released on Planet Mu, the album violently chops up familiar pop and R&B vocal samples, burying them beneath heavily distorted, degraded house rhythms and unstable synthesizer sequences. It is a defining document of the grimy, hardware-driven 'outsider house' movement that pushed electronic music into intentionally abrasive territories.
